 What is the purpose of the PAGE Union group?

The PAGE Union group, page-members@googlegroups.com, is a platform for union members to share their experiences, insights, and perspectives related to workplace issues, union activities, and community engagement. It aims to foster open dialogue, promote solidarity, and empower members to actively participate in their union.

What does the union do for me?

The union benefits all collective bargaining members by holding management, directors, department heads, the chief of staff and the mayor accountable for compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA). This binding contract regulates what the City and employees can and cannot do. When the City violations a provision in the contract the union files a grievance to keep everyone functioning as expected. As 

When and where are the meeting?

Union meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 5:00 PM at the United Steelworkers Hall, 1414 E Evans, Pueblo, CO 81006

Who can contribute to the PAGE Union group?

Any active member of the PAGE union is welcome to contribute to the website. This includes union officers, stewards, and general members.

What types of content can I submit?

How do I submit a contribution?

Will my contribution be published immediately?

All submissions from members will be moderated before becoming visible to the group, this is to ensure no defamatory, inappropriate, or offensive content is posted to the community. 

Can I edit or remove my contribution after it is published?

How often will I receive messages?

The frequency of emails will vary depending on the level of activity within the union. However, you can expect to receive updates periodically, not daily.

Can I choose how I receive updates?

Yes, you can customize your email notification settings within Google Groups. Options include receiving all emails, a daily digest, or no emails at all (but you would still be a member and have access to the group archives).

Can I post messages to the group?

Currently, the group is set up for one-way communication from the union leadership team to the members. This helps maintain a focused flow of information. However, you are always encouraged to reach out to your union representatives directly with any questions or concerns.
