Priorities 


City Wide: 

  • Wages 

    • Differential Pay-look at times when this starts and look at federal regulations  

    • Longevity pay 

    • Boots

    • Standby pay

  • Overtime pay/rules 

  • Comp time rules 

  • Insurance costs 

  • Steps shrinkage 

  • Vacation time 

    • Personal days

  • Military leave (perhaps beef this policy up) 

  • 401K match (unsure which employees this affects but will get info at next meeting) 

  • Alternative schedules (4 10s) look at wastewater and airport policies on this 

    • Vacation days for folks on alternate schedule 

  • Add new positions to CBA (CSO’s, Crime scene analysts) 

  • Clear up seniority in CBA 

  • Cell phone reimbursement 

  • Equipment maintenance (uniforms but could also be policies for vehicles) 

  • Definitions for vague terms 

  • Funeral leave/bereavement leave for in laws not in household 


Department Specific:

  • SOPs for PD conflict with PAGE CBA 

  • Inclement weather policy “voluntary” OT 

    • Required to burn time.  Get 4 hours would change their OT pay to 7.5 hours 

    • Training pay 

      • Capped at $300.00 per month 

      • County Dispatch gets $25 a day with no cap 

  • Student Debt relief 

  • Mandatory minimum staffing for park rangers 

  • CDL trainer pay increase 

  • Compensation for increased duties and training 

  • Increased tool allowance 

  • OT for CSOs defined 

  • Meal breaks for CSOs and realtime crime techs 


LMI: 

  • Tuition reimbursement
